Knew you would LOVE it!  It's just amazing how a scratched disc can look so new!  We are actually closing our store next week and lots of customers have wanted to buy mine - Nope!  I'm keeping it for my personal use!  And once the word spreads about how "new" you can make their discs look - your customer repairs will increase - at least ours did.  Good Luck and enjoy your new toy!

My only regret is that I didn't get one of these a long time ago. So far I've repaired about 300 disc.
About half of which has gone bake into rental and the other out for sale. I've also made $25 from customers. Not bad for 6 days.

Mike, my point was that IMO the studios are sending the wrong message to the movie going public. The first run theatre across the street charges $8.25 and the discount theatre charges $1.50  Shocked

I could see where many would say "let's wait 2 weeks and save $6.75 per tickets". Now I know that most movies don't go to discount theatres after 2 weeks but this pricing could create a perception that they do.

Tom,

So they should have let it go back to the depot and sit on the shelf while people forget about it?  It went to the discount house quickly b/c it did poorly over the initial 2 weeks.  The theater business is no different than the video business.  You have a short period of time get them in.  BTW, it depends on the individual market when a title goes discount with Universal.  Universal moves them as soon as the 1st-run is done with them.  Sometimes it is 2 weeks, sometimes it is 10 weeks.

Do you mean that your pads are like cotton and dissolve after one use ? or are you actually seeing the pads come apart as they are buffing the disks ?

How long are the pads suppose to last on average ?

Hardcopi, with this pad problem, it never stops needing compound. It wears it away too fast and doesn't build up.

The vibration i mentioned in an earlier post was the first machine i had. the company replaced it.

You also only use a lot of liquid on the first few times doing it. As for the messy interior, just suck it up, it is gonna be messy, just scrape it out when it gets too much. Loved mine though. Not sure about the new pad issue, the old pads would last me a long time.

To clarify, my machine doesn't vibrate any longer. I'm pretty sure the pads disintegrating prematurely isn't related to any problem with the machine.
Videosilva, you're not using too much liquid. The mess is normal, unusually fast pad disintegration not withstanding.

I finally managed to test the EasyPro machine and few days ago and was quite impressed with it.

I did not notice any vibrations as others have mentioned.

My only gripe is that i believe i i used too much liquid on the pads thus causing a mess inside the machine.

As far as the pads are i am not able to compare them to anything else but they seem ok  ?
