EVN adult video sales

WARNING: Just to alert those who purchase adult video's, stay away from EVN. They say one thing and do another. Most of the video's they sold to the new owners is nothing but garbage and that is putting it mildly. They promise to pickup the handling charges, but stick you with them. This is a warning to all who buy for their stores. Slick talker's, especially the sales manager.

I'm amazed that they still call me.  I haven't bought from them in years because of the low quality product.  One of the sales callers even swore at me when I told him I didn't want to buy anything.  

Fortunately, I have a local XXX supplier who gives me terms, free shipping on $100 + shipments and is helpful getting special orders for customers.  I'm glad he's there because otherwise I'd have to do it all on the phone.  (I always think of that scene in "Clerks"....)

well, I had a problem with "skip at hollywood hits",  this guy was a reall jerkass.

Rude and a smartass,  He calls all the time, even when I told him we didn't carry adult anymore.  

I can get adult from plenty of other better places, I get at least 6 calls a day from people selling adlut videos.

Still waiting for Hollywood Hits to replace VHS product that was heat damaged upon receipt and that was returned to them almost a decade ago.  The one excuse I received was that the salesman that I ordered them from was not employed there any longer....what the hell does that have to do with damaged goods?

At least they don't hassle me with phone calls anymore.

I've used EVN for a couple of years, and have had a pretty good experience.  VHS around $2.00, DVD anywhere from $2.00 to $9.00, depending on "stars"!!  My rep, Jon, has always been responsive and gotten me credits for damaged or duplicate goods.

Having said that, what other distributors are good to deal with?  I get constant solicitation calls, but blow them off (no pun intended!) as I don't like the whole idea of setting up business relationships over the phone, especially in the adult area.  Anyone have a good distributor to recommend?

dont knock business calls all the time. I had a guy call me once and asked
"would you like a loan for $15,000?"
"hell ya"

and you know what.... they gave me $15,000, no questions asked, just had to sign the papers.

but, talking about what good adult movies came out might be a totally different situation... two guys talking bout porn over the phone.... :lol:

I had a long distance carrier call me once and give me their spiel and end it with saying "How much do you pay?" I told them and they said "Wow I can't beat that!" Then her voice lowered and she whispered "Who is it cause I want to switch."

Now I just say "Not interested" and hang up. I had a guy though from one of those that call all the time trying to sell me adult. Told him I don't carry it and he yelled at me saying obviously I didn't want to be in business. 5 minutes later he called back. I told him off and he claimed it wasn't him that said that and hung up. He called back the next day and when I told him to stop calling he said "I am the new owner and I fired that guy yesterday." It was the same guy. I told him if he called again I would consider it harassment and he finally go the message to write it down.

Woobie, I have used Venture Video for my adults for several years. I deal with Lonnie He does a great job for me. I never get junk movies and if there is ever any problems he handles it fast no questions. I'll try to remember to get the phone number when I get back to the office and post it if you want.
