The most common one I have been getting recently: "Do you have Chicken Little in yet?" Or another title that was just released in theatres last Friday.....

Sometimes it hasn't even reached the theatre yet!

Our local theater is showing Grizzly Man-and a guy told me that "it was sooo obvious that the guy filming the bears was an actor, and a really bad one at that...how are they getting away with calling that a documentary anyway?"

Why don't you guys have Chronicles of Narnia?  Every other video store in town has it.

We know the other video stores don't have it, but the local guy who burns them from the net is probably selling them for $5 each to all takers.

How about this common one for us (keep in mind, it's tourist area):

"...My video store at home has The 40 Year-Old Virgin, do you guys get your movies later here?"  I respond, "No, we get them on the same day as all video stores."  customer responds, "well... I'm sure The 40 Year Virgin is already out at home..."

Showing them the back of the Video Choice monthly guide usually eases their skepticism

I've tried that, and been told that it doesn't prove anything, you guys have those printed up with any date you want.  (I guess the endless TV and print mass media ads don't prove anything either..)

Speaking of "back home," when I go back to my hometown, a town of about 4000, the video store brings out ALL new releases the weekend before the street date. I am probably the only person who has ever noticed.

The Chronicles of Narnia they saw might of been the BBC version. People tend to overlook the details most of the time. Wink

I just love the people who think you don't know as much about movies as their friends (the friends are never on hand to quiz).  Today I had a Romanian saying that in Europe "Anger Management 2, staring Adam Sandler and Jack Nicholson, is on video.

Everyone go to IMDB now.  As far as I can tell that movie has never been made.  Perhaps it's the Romainian version staring Nicholson and Sandler look-a-likes?  Direct to video now doubt.
