jac's VIDEO AND CONFECTIONERY, a well established business in the heart of Downtown Dalmeny with 2500+ residents and counting. Open since July, 2003, with over a thousand DVDs for rent, and well stocked confectionery for all your needs.


Dalmeny is located 20 kms northwest of Saskatoon, but we are fortunate enough to have clean and safe water provided by Sask Water from the City of Saskatoon. People move to Dalmeny because of the residential character - clean, quite, safe, well laid out and full of friendly people. It is close enough to Saskatoon for work and amenities, but far enough away for quality of life. Dalmeny has K-12 schools, business services, paved streets, churches and a community spirit. It is attracting younger couples (under the age of 40) who have children, are highly skilled and employed, and are progressive. The High School boasts a brand new gym which opened in February 2004, and Dalmeny will also have a new Town Office, Police Station and Library complex. Extensive park remodeling is currently underway as well.

Probably like a lot of us, she's not making enough money in relation to the amount of time spent persueing such.

IMO its all about diversity, rental dont need a lot of copies, it need a lot of titles, and you need to diversify dont just do dvds, do ice creamm, figurines, cards, tanning, whatever !

theres a lot of reasons that i want to sell the store.

My lease is up in october, the days off thing, the moola thing, the new hd disc thing, just everything.

Im young enough that i still can try something new, and if that doesnt work out, i could start up another store if i wanted to.

Those are basically the reasons I want to sell my store. Year two and basically flat, we sign up people, but the old customers dont seem to keep on coming back.  My wife got a job that pays her WAYYY more than she will make running our outfit. Hey at least we can say we tried.
