Does anyone own/operate a disc repair machine at their store?

With the move towards DVD's, I'm thinking that it might be a good investment.

Not only can the machines fix scratched discs in the inventory, but you can charge customers to fix their discs.

http://www.cdrepairman.com/

The prices on the machines range from $800 to $5000.

What're your thoughts?

How well do the $40 disc repair machines work?  I was thinking about advertising free disc repair.  Could bring a lot of people in.

I have been using the Azuradisk 1600 since Oct of 2002 and I have to say it was the BEST investment I ever made!!  If you deal with games and DVD's I advise everyone to get one ( Or something similiar ). I not only do our games and DVD's but also offer the service to our customers which can be ok but I have found that most people forget about it as soon as they leave the store so you will use it more for maintaining your rental inventory. Since I have had the machine I have only lost ONE disk and I carry over 5000 between DVD's and games.  If a disk comes back scratched I just redo it and put it back on the shelf and everytime I do that that I figure I save 15.00 each time for DVD's and 40.00 each time for every game cause if I didn't have the machine I would have to replace the disk. If anyone like more info on my experience with the machine please feel free to email me
