 Angry
Well, Our store has slowed to hardly nothing. We have had only hot weather and no rain. The winter was awesome, but we are making up for that now.
We have lost at least $200 per night thru the week and $400 on weekends to redbox, netflix, illegal downloading, bad economy and our local library. How in the world did we end up competing with so many at the same time? I am so tired! I don't know if I have any fight left in me after this summer.
I am really considering changing careers now. 22 years of video business and now I'm watching everyone just taking it away. I called my governor and asked him why our local library is using my tax money to give away FREE rentals and he said that's what happened to music stores and book stores, you just have to let the video store die too! I am so angry, but what can I do?

The sad reality is that video rentals best days have past us by, however with that comes new opportunities.  We have seen the sale of previously viewed movies skyrocket at the same time video rentals have plummeted.  Adjust your business model and you can still succeed. Shocked

Our PVD has slowed too. Gotta love the coming winter months though. Got a lot of inventory that will get sold off, one way or another.
