It's no worse than you are already getting monitored, recorded, and your info sold every day by many many many web sites WITHOUT any disclosure. Just remember: Nothing you do on the web is private, and everything you do will be preserved somewhere forever.
As for Ingram, they do have the best web ordering of the major video distribs, but I still find myself using IMDB and Amazon to do most title search + research. Lately I find I do a lot more buying on Amazon, as Ingram does not stock the right stuff at the right time. I think their buying model is based on what someone in Tennessee thinks people in the Northeast want to watch. Just does not work out. Hopefully the info gathered will result in them having a better inventory.

If this is true I better stay off those farm porn websites! But seriously, folks, that's absolutely correct. Every click on every website records your data somewhere. Most websites use your information for legitimate and limited purposes, but too many do not. Also keep in mind that big brother is already watching and is currently trying to get even more power! Scary, when you really think about it. (Paranoid much?)

I use Accessingram.com every day. Analytics will hopefully let them see what their users are searching for and make their inventory process better, as Videoport says. This is a non issue for me.
