Ha, just read that as well yesterday when I was on there.  One step forward, 2 Steps back.  These 28 day windows should have been a boon for them but somehow they'll screw it up.  BK is inevitable and I can't wait to pick up the cheap inventory, racking, etc.  One closed here in Indianapolis last Sunday and I picked up New Releases (Couples Retreat, Dolan's Cadillac, Whip It, Zombieland, etc.) for *97 cents* a disc.  No, that IS NOT a typo. 

Any IVR still hanging around might wanna sock away what extra money they can starting now.  Stuff's gonna be there on the cheap folks.

I came up big at the closing Movie Galleries around here.

The 28 day window ain't going to help them for Q1, which they still haven't announced yet.  Get ready for another tumble.

I haven't had much luck getting deals at the MG closings, always too much IMO (I got an appitite for free/VERY cheap from BB) and the last few that are anywhere near me are gone.  They're almost completely done in Indiana and will be everywhere soon it appears.  There's more IVR's than MG's left I'd say here.  Ill be following the BB closing around the state for sure.

Personally, I like Hulu, at least I did. Maybe I can't sleep and get a 3:00am jones for Remington Steele; even IF I could find the series at my local video store, they're probably not open. EVERYONE in the entertainmemt industry is getting just too greedy. Even the television networks want to cease "free" transmissions and only offer pay (cable, satellite) programming (of course still with all the commercials too), after local stations spent how many billions switching to digital! I have not seen or heard any reports on claimed "revenue loss" from strictly TV episodes available online but I cannot believe such a move will noticably affect IVRs bottom lines. All this greed just makes me sick.
Before someone misunderstands, I am only referring to the studios' greed, and I am absolutely not impuning any IVRs. Sorry about the rant but I do feel a little better now! I gotta click over and catch me some ALF while I still can!
