Hey,

I we end up being the last man standing I'm considering opening a few smaller satellite stores. Can anyone recommend a POS program that works well for multi-store use?

Thanks
Todd

Phoenix.
I would also recommend it for the guys in Ohio that are looking for software. There are cheaper packages but I have not found any that are better

just started a new store a couple weeks ago and I'm still tinkering w/ Phoenix but its amazing.  Very easy to work with and it will allow you to set up about anything you can imagine.  I believe its $1700 for the first licence then $250 for "additional users" to add more stores.  I was fortunate enough to buy it from a store going out of business and only had to pay $450 to re-licence it.  You might search on Craigslist for a video store closing that has the hardware key (must have!) and call to re-licence it.  They'll send you the lastest software version the next day.

Might be too expensive (not sure of your budget) but if you plan on starting multiple stores your cost per store won't be much.

retailnet by tempus technologies is the best multi unit software system out there still in business. not perfect, but good and viable for the immediate future.
