Only because they tried to get it here and it was out. My customers are pretty loyal. I guess they return some of the redbox here because they are used to getting them here. I'm going to stay positive and if rentals are taken over by the rich....then I'll just do something else. I'm very glad that my rentals can't be returned there.

Update on tanning. Our tanning season has started early! I just got the new bulbs and lotions in and advertised on facebook, twitter and my space...I haven't even put it in the newspaper yet and it has picked up big time!
I guess everyone is sick of the cold weather and ready for spring.
The movies and games are still doing very well even though we had a bit warmer weather. Hope everyone is doing GREAT!

Tanning beds use lamps not bulbs.

 Huh
Why do some people have to be soooo negative? Looking for anything wrong with anyone... spelling, something said the wrong way, there always has to be someone somewhere that is not ever reading, just looking for something wrong somewhere. I have been in video/tanning for over 21 years now and I'm still doing awesome. My customers have always called the LAMPS bulbs and I just say it like they like it said. I'm not negative, I don't care how anyone spells or talks. I love everyone and God didn't make us perfect for a reason. So my tanning bulbs or lamps have helped my business a whole bunches.

 Cheesy
Another great day. Tanning has doubled since I advertised on topix, facebook and my space. I had several new customers today. I may not have to use the newspapers to advertise anymore. I think everyone is online in my town. That's where the problem is! The redbox, netflix and gamefly may be taking some of the rental business....but EVERYONE is online playing games, talking to each other instead of renting. So...you must get their attention and get them out of the house....which soooo many people need to do. Let them know who you are and what you have to offer. Make friends. Loyal customers are awesome, but friends are better. Tanning and renting will get them in your stores. Make sure you give them something FREE. The weeks that don't have good titles hurts us bad. We all need to figure out what to do to help that problem. I will see what I can think of. All ideas are sooo welcome!

I don't pay anything. I just use my logo and my pics and post like everyone else. You will get a lot of crazy people talking bad about you on topix....I just don't reply....don't let it get to you.

I have a "page" but if I'm correct only my friends see it. I want to reach more local people. Most of my friends are out of town. How could I post and get more coverage?

Just browse all people in your zip and add as friends. They will be interested and take a look. Make sure you write "check out my website". Put your profile pic up....mine is the front of my stores. Write something every few hours about what you have to offer. It only takes a few min.

Don't forget to link twitter, facebook and my space all together. When you write on twitter it automatically writes on all 3.
