Hmmm, perhaps that is why the rep tipped me off to the other company. Maybe that's where he is headed?

i dont see how that can be...
if HIP goes down, so does Video One, because they are the same company. Hip bought out Video One, so they are the same company...

Not true. ROW purchased Video One last year and recently purchased Koch before consolodating into one company in the last couple weeks called Entertainment One. HIP Interactive has nothing to do with Video One whatsoever.

Hip never bought V1. The sale was to go through, but Hip wouldn't meet all of V1's demands so the sale was aborted.
As for why Universal cut off Hip's supply line, I don't know the particulars. That's between Hip and Universal. I just know that if you want to purchase Universal/Alliance Atlantis product through Hip, you can no longer get it. Hip has also recently lost exclusive distribution of Sony game products and another company has secured the right to distribute Nintendo product in Canada (meaning they now have to buy their product from a competitor).
Regards,
Sean
