Welcome to Videorentalbiz.com former VSDA DB users.

(for those of you scratching your head, here is a quick quote from their site:
Quote
VSDA?s Board of Directors approved the proposal sent to them reflecting unanimous agreement of
members of both the Growth Committee and the Web Communications Committee. Staff took license to
propose a trial period for reading and for (with a $50 fee) posting.

$50 a month is a bit much for me to pay for a message board. I realize that they do a lot for legislative things, but they are too tight lipped for me to trust.

What does everyone else think?

Well i never joined. I had my thoughts on joining but there was too many things that didn't seem right. One thing for sure is, They would have took my money and thats it. They forgot about the IVR's. They seemed like they cared more about the big chains than the little guys.

$50 doolars a month? Give me a break. Yeah i have met some nice people that gave me great advice over there, Not worth me paying $50 dollars a month. I can get advice somewhere like here :-)

I think now you will see VSDA really struggle to get people to join now. Big mistake they made. I'm doing fine without them anyways.

VSDA has become very "anti-Independent Video Retailers" in all of it's policies.

Hopefully this new forum will be a better one for IVRs.

Hey folks, thanks to all the members that have help to continue the growth of this forum, we slowed a bit when I changed the complete design of the site switching from invision to nuke but I think we are benefiting greatly from the change we have more freedom to do much more.

I would also like to take this post to give a special thanks to Rich (Hardcopy) for giving me the hand and suggestions on improving the site.

Also for loyal forum supporters:
Pat and Letterbox
and all the members of videorentalbiz.com

When I started this site was for the reason alot of you have arrived here, because VSDA to my thinking is more interested in making money from the small guy then helping the small guy make money.

As stated before I have no concern to make money of this site the banners placed are just to try to help to cover the bandwith cost and even then even if I did not get a cent from banners I will never ask anybody who is a member for one cent.

I benifit from what you will all benifit if the site keeps growing, from the knowledge gain of joining forces and competing together against does BB and VA of the world.

I assure you what ever advice or suggestion you members have are welcomed we are not VSDA we are here for you as you are here for me, together we can be as strong as a large chain.

Again
THANK YOU ALL
Vic

Other than the free forum for ideas and thoughts what else do people want from this site? The software used here is pretty easy to add things.

For instance it has a review section already made if there are any volunteers to enter reviews for new movies. Smiley <hint> <hint>

Rich.
