The grocery store here started selling Bedtime Stories last Friday. I called my VPD rep today and was told there had been a "soft" release date change that the reps were not allowed to email to anyone, just voice communication. Since he found out late on Friday afternoon he didn't have time to call all his accounts. Just wanted everyone to know about it.

What are soft release dates.  When are they changed.  It is time to start ignoring release dates if they change all the time.  Either the studios want a hard release date (Tuesdays) or the dates will start to be ignored.  This type of stuff will drive you crazy.

Ingram notified us to release Friday.  walmart had it out  Friday also at sale price 16.97
Disney rep at walmart told me they would not be releasing at walmart til Tuesday 4/7/09.
so i just dropped in to check and it was on shelf for sale Friday

Same here, was told to release on Friday.  Disney needs to get their act together, first the Bolt Blu-Ray / DVD release date deal and now the same thing with Bedtime Stories.
