Ok, as you may have noticed   we have changed our name to Video Store Central. It will hopefully be easier to remember (the old address will still work). It also I think better reflects our make up.

We have also upgraded our software a bit and added a BUNCH of new features. Some of them are under the hood and others will be evident immediately. Still others need some tweaking on my part to make them look and act better. Smiley

One section to take a look at is the album which we had talked about on the board before. I have added pictures of my store and hope to see some of yours as well.

I'm having some problems uploading some jpg files of my store.  They are saved as jpg, 800 x 600 and under 128K.  When I upload them, the screen shows about five or six error messages for two seconds and then goes back to the "Your Album" screen.  Any thoughts?

Nope, none, but give me a little while to check it out. Might be a permissions thing. Worked great for me, but I am an admin which is the only difference I can see.

Well, I see there has been some modification to the pic size and file size.  I tried again, but I watched quickly at the error messages (did a screen save) and it basically indicates a "permission" problem.

Can't attached a jpeg to this post either....

Probably part of the same problem. I'll get it fixed. What this site needs is a good explosion, but I will track down all the bugs and get it perfect sooner or later.

I was near starting my own video retailer forum while your site was in limbo.  Glad to see you've got it back up, seeing as it already has a base community.

Richard,
I'm not trying to rush or push you at all.  I just wanted to let you know (in case you had been working on it) that I still have had no luck uploading any pictures.

I actually find navigation a little bit more difficult than the last generation but I suppose it just takes getting used to like anything else.

Navigation, yep that's the problem here, a total lack of navigation.  Tom, what does that mean?

Actually, I know it's meaning, but what I would like to know is if HARDCOPY, aka Rich, could place a set of these (View previous topic :: View next topic) at the bottom of each thread.  That would make my navigation occur a little quicker.

Opps, I wasn't logged in...I keep checking "remember me" but it doesn't want to :?:, go figure.  How was I able to post without being logged in?

Anyhow I am the "guest" that wished for the navigation links in the above post.

Actually there are next and previous topic links at the bottom of each topic page. <shrug>

As for everything else, I need to set aside some time to work on this site. It has been neglected by me due to other constraints lately. This is NOT how I want it to look or feel, this is about as bad as it can get look and feel wise.
