zatoichi collection one

Fu does well at my place.  Curious if any one brought in Zatoichi Collection One.

It is the 1st 13 episodes of the tv show. it has english subtitles.  the problem is they flash on the screen so fast (some- not all) that they are unreadable.  even paused, they flash to fast. this means it is a digital error.  either my dvd player can't read them, or  they were encoded wrong.

if someone brought this in, watch the first 7 minutes and you'll either see the error or not. the subtitles are fast enough to see, but to fast to read.  again, some- not all.  I can see customers being very frustrated if they can only read 2/3 of the subtitles.   Not sure if I need to return this or just toss out my dvd player.

any info is appreciated.
