I just want to say "Thanks" for this and the last post.  Because of the last post, I went to the Best Buy and CC websites, printed out their prices and saved BIG on our New Releases at Walmart this past Tuesday.

We weren't sure they would price match with just an internet printed paper - but they did - Bee Movie $13.99 - saved $4 x 6 = $24!

It really added up given the fact so many titles came out this week!

We've been saving lots of $$$ since the first time a post like this was listed.  I go to the websites and check prices on Monday night - print the prices and get WM to do a price match.  I wish I had known they would do this a long time ago!

I think it's situational to the Walmart.  My store is between two Walmarts and I live very close to a third.  Each store prices their movies based on the closest Best Buy to them.

So the W near my house had I am Legend at $15.97, the one near Highway 59 had I am Legend at $14.97 and the one nearest my store was $13.99.

All three will NOT price match ANOTHER Walmart.  I think they will likely match the closest competitor rather than the lowest price 'in the nation'.

I really don't know - I think it all depends on the clerk you get.  Some just don't care - others want to push their "authority".  My mom buys all her groceries at WM and gets price matches on her word alone a lot of the time. 

I took in an ad from RiteAid last week- theatre box candy for 0.69 - the checker didn't even look at the ad much less read to see if only certain candy was on sale - she just overrided the price. 

We had been told a long time ago that the store would NOT match their own online prices though - so I wasn't sure what they would say when we brought in an online ad. 

Knock on wood - so far it's been easy as pie!  It never hurts to try - you never know what you can get until you ask

MIsty makes a good point.  I know my local Wally's won't price match each other, because I got greedy and asked.  You gotta ask and if they say know that's the way it is, and if they say yes and it's only over a few dollars back you just say something like, "Gas is $3.40 everybit helps!"

Our WM won't do that anymore. You must have the store sales paper and they even check the dates to be sure it's still valid. I don't know if they would take a printout of sales of either groceries or dvds.
