I have received an ofer for my rental store and am now in negotions to sell it. I am wondering if anyone would like to point out any "potholes" that I should watch out for during this process. I've sold one of my stores about 8 years ago.
tip #1....Get all the money upfront, don't get caught holding the note.
While holding a note may help expedite the sale...In the video business, you might as well write off the amount held as a loss.
tip #2....Make sure if you have a non compete agreement..it doesn't unreasonably restrict you from doing something else in the immediate area.
