They say it will be back in March. <shrug> What I want to know is how many people used it and what did it have that was so useful? Should I recreate it? So far the rental guide and used pricing guide have mainly been me playing around because I was bored with no real direction except to fufill whatever whim might have crossed my mind at the time. Smiley

If it is needed I will code it, but I will need feedback because I only glanced at VR.com once or twice and determined that it was too complex to be useful to me and I didn't have the patience for it. Smiley

So is there any desire?

Hi HardCopy...for those of us who took the time to figure out the ins and outs of VIDEORETAILER it was very useful in helping us with our buying decisions...most of the info is also available from VIDEOETA.COM...IMO the most valuable part of VR was what I call the last paragraph (see example below in BOLD)...Doug Johnson who wrote those reviews had years of experience working in an extremely busy IVR store and I think that experience was why his reviews were so accurate...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

  Disturbia

Studio: Paramount Home Video
MPAA Rating: PG13
Genre: Thriller
Theatrical Release Date: 4/13/2007
Pre Order Date: 6/25/2007
Video Release Date: 8/7/2007
Number Of Screens: 3132
Box Office Type: Theatrical
Box Office Gross (in Millions): 80.0
Director: D.J. Caruso
Cast: Shia LaBeouf, Sarah Roemer, Carrie-Anne Moss, David Morse
Videoretailer.com Review: Shia LaBeouf stars as troubled teen ‘Kale’, a HS senior who hasn’t been the same since his father was killed in an accident, leaving Kale’s widowed mother (Carrie-Anne Moss) to work 2 jobs to support them. Kale’s recent delinquency has found him under house-arrest, his inability to leave the house forces him into a severe state of cabin fever, causing him to dig out the binoculars and spy on his neighbors…including ‘Ashley’, a pretty new arrival to the suburban neighborhood who entertains Kale by hanging around her pool in a bikini. But, a second neighbor, ‘Robert Turner’ (David Morse) also catches Kale’s attention, as a serial killer is on the loose and Kale, his friend ‘Ronnie’ and later, Ashley all become suspicious that Turner is actually the killer. As Kale tries to discern whether his suspicions are legitimate, or if they’re simply a product of a bored, overactive imagination, the three teens soon find themselves in over their heads as they try to prove his guilty identity without being caught.

Not bad for a “Rear Window” rip-off that is geared toward teens, this more than adequate popcorn thriller has above-average character development, dialogue and acting and is superior to most teen-thriller / horror flicks of late. This did great at the B/O, finding applause from the critics and consumer alike, and will be one of the top 3 titles of the month. Maybe compare with 1/07’s “Saw 3” keeping in mind that this is a better film and is PG13, giving a wider market.

That last paragraph makes it more difficult. I am sure I could do it if I could see the movies or have some of my web team see the movies, but unless I pirate every single movie then that isn't gonna happen. I have gotten 1 screener in the past 3 or 4 years and it was a low budget independent. (oh and for the record, my web team does have a writer on it, just not used on this site) Smiley

Just reading some about Project Mercury... do indies really want to get into the streaming movie stuff? Cause, I am pretty sure I could do this without too much trouble. Probably only get 10% of each movie or tv episode shown, but cobranding it would be a cake walk.

Not even gonna think about the Intelliflix section of PM cause it didn't make sense then and doesn't now. <shrug>

Rich.
