Looks like someone hit the power pole outside my house and the power and internet went down. This caused a massive power surge and well basically the last month's data is lost. It has taken me about 12 hours to recover the data enough for this much.

Not fun, but sorry about the downtime.

Nothing to get a picture of. Pole just slanted down at a 45 degree angle, a fire truck blocked my street (not needed cause it was on a street intersecting mine) then honked at me when I went around his lazy @$$ and went home. Smiley

Power and internet were still on till they came to install a new pole. Then phone, cable, internet and powere flickered like mad, causing all sorts bad sectors on my drives, mainly right in the database.  Besides the last 3 weeks on here, I lost over 7,000 archived articles on my Sci Fi site and about 3,000 on my christian site as well as six months of messages on my sci fi forum. What a sucky day.

Come on everybody - let's contribute some $ so Rich can put this site on a server that isn't in his living room.  I've already pledged $20 and so did someone else.  He just needs $110 more.  Let's get the ball rolling.

When I logged on and saw that I had 528 unread posts, I 'bout fell out! Now I know why.
I'll pledge $10. It's all I can do right now 'cause I'm still paying on my husband's funeral. Just  send me a pm to let me know where to send the check.

I appreciate all the donations. Almost at the goal of paying for a years worth of hosting. (need another $30 is all).

I purchased a server, got a great deal on it. Should serve us for quite a while and let me actually program some new stuff. We got a good deal on it because it has nothing installed. Smiley No ftp server, no nothing. I have it about 80% ready to go. Just testing some stuff out then I should be able to move over to the new server flawlessly.

Dan, you sound like some of my customers saying that since they rent so much they should own half of the store.

 Yeah, and have you ever noticed that it's the ones you only see once or twice a year that come off with that one?

I tried to donate with my debit card and it was refused. Since this is the only card I use for my business(and I know it works) just email me an address and I'll mail you a check. If there is another way I could use my card just let me know.
